Day one of the regatta saw sailors playing cards and doing homework on land for the morning and early afternoon, but we were able to get in 5 races before heading back in around 6pm. The wind, while light at an average of 5 knots, held steady and provided some wonderful conditions while we were out there.
Day two looked a little more promising as far as wind was concerned, but near the end of our first race the wind shut off. Sailors and race committee waited on the water for close to an hour waiting for more wind, before calling the regatta around noon. Overall we had a really fun weekend playing with light wind Laser sailing on Lake St Clair. Congratulations to Billy Vogel for qualifying for Laser Nationals, which will take place in mid November!
The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
