Athletes were greeted with overcast skies with breeze at 6-9knots from the Northeast and a steady chop that had built overnight.
The breeze varied in both velocity and direction throughout the day, going anywhere from 3-11 knots and big direction swings from the ENE back to the NNE.
In all 8 races were completed in the challenging conditions, and at a little over halfway through the championship the points are quite close.
A big thanks to PRO Todd Fedyszyn and his team for running some solid races in the tough conditions, as well as the host team from Tulane for helping the event run smoothly.
Today saw similar conditions to start the day, with overcast skies and breeze from the NE at 6-11 knots.
The racing was tight throughout the day, and the regatta lead changed several times as the day went on.
In the end the regatta came down to the final race, with each of the top 3 boats in a winner-take-all position.
Congratulations to Ava Anderson from Tulane on a dominant win in the last race, sailing away to seal the championship for the Janet Lutz Trophy.
