With no wind, lots of rain, and cold temps, there was no racing on Saturday despite the onshore hospitality and good vibes.
Sunday could not have been more different than Saturday's rainy delays. Breeze, sunshine, and warm temperatures greeted sailors on day two of the 2023 Triangle Tango Intercollegiate Regatta. From the first race of the day, The Citadel, host NC State, and Florida Tech were neck and neck off the start line playing each shift Lady Crabtree threw at them. Onshore lots of spectators joined throughout the day to watch competitive college sailing while teams hung out on their off-rotations. The vibe was chill, full of comradery and Corinthian spirit - a great way to close out the fall 2023 season. As the day progressed and racing continued, the Wolfpack began chipping away at The Citadel's lead eventually taking over first place and holding on for the remainder of the event. The day wrapped up just before 3pm with two full rotations and six races completed in each division. The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
