The 18 women's teams competing at the Women's ACCs at USMMA-Kings Point were greeted by sunny skies, warm temps and NO WIND. Eventually, the breeze filled from the south and harbor start was announced at 1140. The wind took a little while to settle in, but once it did, the sailors were treated to typical KP southerly, building from 6kts to 15kts, with a brief period topping out at 22kts. A significant chop built as well, testing the teams over 8 17-20 minute races in both A and B divisions. There was one breakdown filed and awarded.
We had a number of photographers out there today, tomorrow's summary will include information on where to view these photos. - PRO, Rick Dominique
There was a nice 8kt. northerly breeze when the teams arrived this morning. There were big wind direction changes, challenging the RC. The breeze didn't last too long, unfortunately, so only races 9A, 9B and 10A were completed before the wind shut off completely and the fleet returned to shore. ICSA Rules require that race 10A be dropped as no 10B race was completed.
Special thanks to Larry Kennedy and the USMMA midshipmen for giving their time to run this event. Also "Thanks" to Sue Miller and John Brendel for serving as judges.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
