Despite a cold and rainy day, day one of the Women's ACC's Round 1B was a great day of racing. Winds were shifty from the North to the Northeast at 6-16 knots. All courses were W4's and 10 races were sailed in each division with A-division in FJs and B-division in brand new Zim 420e's. A few breakdowns occurred and redress was granted along with one protest that was disallowed. Thanks to Judge Julia Reynolds (Brown '22) and the coaches who helped hear them. Thanks as well to Frank Pizzo (Bowdoin Coach) for being the ICSA Rep and to Dartmouth and the Edgewood Sailing School for providing coach boats. Tremendous thanks to Brown sailors Grant Adam '23, Lucian Sharpe '24, and Ali Zaidi '24 for braving the elements on the water all day helping with race committee and to Emilia Ruth '23 for helping on land.
Yale had a great day and leads after day one with Brown and Dartmouth in second and third overall. The top nine teams will qualify for the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship in a few weeks at Kings Point. Tomorrow's forecast looks crazy windy, we could be in all 420s with smaller mains. Report time is 9:30am.
Unfortunately it was too windy to race today on day 2 of the Women's ACC's Round 1B at Brown and the Ted Turner '60 Sailing Pavilion at the Edgewood Yacht Club. Winds were Northeast at 20-30 knots with some higher puffs. Huge thanks to all of the Brown sailors who came down to help out, Judge Julia Reynolds (Brown '22), ICSA Rep Frank Pizzo, all of the coaches who heard protests/redresses, and to Dartmouth and the Edgewood Sailing School for the use of the powerboats. Congratulations to Yale on the win and to the top 9 teams on qualifying for the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship in a few weeks at King's Point.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
