Teams arrived to Port Jefferson Yacht Club to a picture perfect October day but a lack of wind. We postponed until 12pm when the predicted southerly started to fill. The first race got underway a little after 12:30 in a SSW breeze that took a while to settle in and remained very shifty all day. Wind was in the 6-10 knot range with some brief gusts a bit higher. With a not so stellar wind forecast for Sunday, we decided to push until sunset to complete the regatta. Teams then enjoyed a great BBQ after racing.
Congratulations to Webb for the win and thank you to all the visiting teams for coming to race with us! Thank you to James Gilmore ‘19 for being mark/safety/photo boat and to Jon Gorman ‘20 and Lauren Maloney ‘12 for helping out throughout the day. Thank to our host club Port Jefferson YC and to all the SBU team members for helping all day, particularly with the BBQ.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
