On day one of the 2022 Laser South / Navy Women’s two races were sailed in three knots of wind and a river full of motor boat chop on a beautiful late summer day in Annapolis. The wind died just before noon and the fleets came in for a lunch break. The regatta remained on shore for the rest of the day waiting for wind that never filled in.
Day two provided much more wind, and a lot of rain. Four races were completed in a twelve knot south easterly in the Severn River morning before pausing for a lunch break. After lunch, the breeze shifted further south forcing the regatta to head offsite to Kerr Cove. Three more races were completed in the afternoon. Two boats suffered breakdowns and were awarded average points. One protest was filed, but a boat retired before a hearing could take place. Congratulations to the top 9 finishers for advancing to the MAISA Men’s Singlehanded Championship.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
