A great day of racing at the 2022 Nicholas Barnett Trophy. This regatta honors the memory of Nicholas Barnett, Bowdoin Class of 2011, who died in a car accident during the Thanksgiving Break of his first year at Bowdoin. We are so thankful for the Barnett's continued support of Bowdoin Sailing.
It took a bit of time for the sea breeze to kick in on Harpswell Sound but when it did, it came in with punch. 7 races were sailed in breeze that ranged from 10-18 knots with a strong flood tide. All races were 15 to 20 minutes and were W-4s. Racing finished up by 5 pm and sailors get to enjoy a rare Sunday on campus.
A huge thank you to Louis Frumer '18 and Kique Ruiz '26 for moving marks, Alex Bloom '26 for helping on the RC boat and the many Polar Bears that handled the land ops. Congrats to Bowdoin 1 for winning the 2022 Barnett Trophy.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
