Competitors experienced a bit of everything over the course of the day. Racing began with light air from the SW. The current started ebbing shortly after racing started at 11am, and picked up steam throughout the day. Like really picked up steam (1.5-2 knots); this caused many boats to hit the leeward gate. There were some 15-20 degree shifts to keep things interesting on the race course too. Around 2 pm the sea breeze started to come in 12-15 knots. As it did, the waves and chop built. 6 races were sailed in each division. 2 protests were filed. One breakdown was awarded.
Sporty conditions ruled the day. Never dipping below 14 knots from the SSW, the competitors saw their mettle tested as the breeze increased to 17-19 with gusts in the low to mid-twenties. Many capsizes. 1 breakdown occurred after racing. No protests. Thanks to Diana Weidenbacker for helping to hear a protest from yesterday. Thanks to several RWU undergrads for doing a great job in the mark/safety boat.congrats to CGA on the W.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
