It was worth the wait. At 9:30 am a North wind drained down the valley at a steady five. By 10:30 it was gone. At 12:30 flickers of Easterly zephers danced around parts of the lake. It became steady enough to send the fleet out at 1:30 and racing commenced around 2:00. Courses alternated between 4's and 5's as the 2-6 knot wind ranged from ESE to ENE. As the sun lowered the wind got steadier, East 3-6. With sunshine to the West and dark clouds to the East, a rainbow appeared over the fleet and over the Bacow Sailing Pavilion.
Thanks to Maddy Simms on score keeping and Cali Salinas driving the spectator boat.
Forecast for tomorrow is for another beautiful day but with a West wind 5-15. The bad news is that it will be highly variable. Will start with race 4B, then switch back into A for races 5 & 6.
Breeze all day today; WNW-NW 5-13 through a range of only 25 degrees. Four B kicked off at 10:00 followed by six more races per division, wrapping up by 2:45. Courses were all fours until the last three races when the wind velocity increased on average suggesting a course six to be long enough.
One protest was filed but dropped and there were no breakdowns.
Boston College took a small lead at one point then had a little trouble with starts and wind shifts but they were particularly fast in "A" division. Harvard crushed the final day in "B" division but Tufts hung on with consistency to narrowly win both divisions.
Many thanks to Philip Lengyel for score keeping today and to Niall Sheridan leading the large dock crew to fix any boat problems between races.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
