It was a great first day of racing at the Coed ACC's Round 1A qualifier at the Ted Turner Sailing '60 Sailing Pavilion at the Edgewood Yacht Club. A tricky mainly easterly wind direction really challenged the fleet and the race committee all day long. Wind velocity was between 5-14 kts and there was also strong current that made for a lot of general recalls. 10 races in each division were completed with A-division in FJs and B-division in Z420s. No protests or breakdowns were filed.
Thanks to our Judges Rex Cameron, Greg Hall, Sterling Worrell, and Hannah Steadman, ICSA Rep Justin Assad, and all of the Brown sailors who helped out. A and B divisions will switch fleets for Sunday with race 11A scheduled for 10am.
It was another great day of racing at the Coed ACC's Round 1A qualifier. More tricky, mainly easterly winds between 5-10 kts with strong current at times. 8 more races were sailed in each division with A-division in Z420s and B-division in FJs. One protest was filed resulting in a DSQ for UPenn in race 14B.
Thanks to our Judges Rex Cameron, Greg Hall, Sterling Worrell, and Hannah Steadman, ICSA Rep Justin Assad, and all of the Brown sailors who helped out. Special thanks to Rob Migliaccio for taking amazing photos all weekend long that will be up on the NEISA Facebook page soon.
It was tight racing between Brown and Stanford for the overall win with the Brown Bears emerging in the end. A lot was on the line in the final races for the last few qualifying spots with MIT stepping up to move into the top 9 with a number of teams in the mix. Congratulations to the top 9 teams for moving on to the Atlantic Coast Championship in a few weeks at St. Mary's College of Maryland.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
