Pretty awesome day in Granite Bay. Wind was oscillating between 201 and 230 all day with velocity ranging from 7-15 knots. The middle of the day saw the steadiest conditions. 10 races were sailed in both division on W4 courses. Each fleet had a couple of general recalls so the RC decided to finish off the last 5 races in each division with I flag starts. On this day in American history we remember all those who lost their lives including our special YCYC friend Chris Murphy '88 who was the Yale Sailing team captain in 1988 and also grew up at YCYC sailing in the summer sailing program.
Four races were completed in both divisions. Starting was slightly delayed due to the breezy forecast but racing began around 10:30am and was finished by 1:30pm. A-division sailed Z420's while B sailed FJ's. No Protests or breakdowns were filed. Many thanks to Connecticut College for loaning a coach boat and boom vangs (go NEISA!) and to Chris Champa and Katie Clulo for Judging.
