It was a great day of sailing at the Faye Bennet MAISA Women's Singlehanded Championship. We started racing in the morning in a 8-12 knot S breeze in the mouth of the Severn River off Horn Point. the breeze built throughout the day to the mid teens and were able to do 10 races, 6 before and 4 after a lunch break. There were no protests, breakdowns or requests for redress.
Day 2 was a short one. We headed out into the Chesapeake Bay off Greenbury Point and ran 4 races in a 8-15 knot NNE breeze. Congratulations to the top 4 for advancing to the Laser Performance College Sailing Women's Singlehanded Championship in Santa Barbara, CA on Nov. 8-10 and to Cornell's Lilly Myers for winning the 2019 Faye Bennet MAISA Women's Singlehanded Championship.
