A great southerly breeze greeted the teams at the beginning of the day. Bringing waves and great open water conditions. The waves remained but slowly faded as the wind and rain dissipated.
After six races in each fleet sailors saw a 90 degree shift to the west. With the wind now coming down the hill conditions looked entirely different. Flat water and sporadic puffs were seen by all.
With a total of 8 races in each division and a great forecast for Sunday the PRO decided to end racing for the day.
The Southerly breeze returned this morning for sailors on the Seneca. As the day progressed the wind increased, approaching 18 knots by the end of the last race. With the wind came large waves and speed. Alternates were put in and the down-winds got a little spicy. Five races were sailed in each Division with only one protest being filed on the day. By 1300 racing was done and teams were headed home.
