The wind was very light when the day started so we postponed on shore for a while before heading out to race in the mouth of the Severn River just inside Tolly Point a little before noon. A 5-10 knot SSE breeze allowed for 8 very tight races. Significant motor boat chop and stiff competition made for a challenging day on the water. No protests or breakdown requests were filed.
Sunday started out very similarly to the day before. We postponed ashore for a while, headed out late in the morning to the mouth of the Severn River just inside Tolly Point and started racing in a 5-10 knot SE Breeze. At the start of race 11 things changed a bit, though. The wind shifted right and started blowing out of the South at 8-14 knots. The last few races were very fast paced and dynamic with many gains and losses to be had. No protests or breakdown requests were filed. Congratulations to the top 5 for qualifying for the Laser Performance College Sailing Men's Singlehanded Championship in Santa Barbara, CA on November 8-10 and to Leo Boucher of St. Mary's for winning the 2019 Carl Van Duyne MAISA Men's Singlehanded Championship.
The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
