Saturday’s wonderful forecast proved true, and after singing Mrs. Hurst Happy Birthday for her 93rd on Friday, racing commenced at 11:10 in a freshening 16-20 knots from the North. The breeze moderated throughout the day, but featured great racing with double digit velocity all day. Conditions were shifty, but created fun racing opportunities and passing lanes for all of the sailors.
Thanks to coaches Matt Lindblad, Mike O’Connor, Bill Healy, and Jeff Bresnahan for their help hearing protest and redress hearings, and to Bill for NEISA Rep duties.
Sunday’s forecast was not nearly as encouraging as Saturday, and it also rang true. Despite a beautiful bucolic morning with mist blowing across the lake, as soon as the fog cleared the breeze died, and though we spend nearly over 3 hours in various stages of readiness, we were able to complete 1 race in each division in a puffy ENE breeze.
Thanks to everyone for making the trip up, for spending time with Mrs Hurst, and for racing at our place! Look forward to seeing all of our women represent NEISA in the showcase next weekend!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
