Cayuga Lake did not deliver good sailing conditions today. Breeze came from every direction possible and while there was wind for racing at times, it was swirling so much a course could not be set. We had many delays on the water and completed races in just about everything. Thank you to Mike Callahan for serving as the MAISA rep.
A couple protests were filed on the water, but none filed on land. No breakdown or redress filed.
Tomorrow's forecast is for very chilly and windy conditions...
Breezy conditions out of the NW, with winds sustained throughout the day ranging from 15-25 kts. The gusts were sustained for full races and the waves were rolling down the lake with a long fetch making for some exciting downwind legs. The marks were put in the water at 9:30am and they never moved. All races were W4's, and racing was extremely tight throughout the day.
We had a few OCS scores with sailors unable to hear hails from the RC toward the pin end, and a couple DNF finishes. It all came down to the final race, 10B between Cornell, HWS, Penn, and GW. Cornell ultimately came away with the overall win, just 2pts ahead of HWS. No protests, breakdown, or redress filed.
Thank you to the coaches for being on the water and to Mike Callahan for serving as MAISA Rep.
Congratulations to the Cornell Big Red for Winning the MAISA Conference Championship!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
