LaserPerformance Women's Singlehanded Nationals

Summary

Saturday, November 3:

Day 1 saw a light NE breeze that built into a steady 8-12 from the NW. Sailors were treated to some big wave Lake Michigan sailing and 8 races were completed in swell. One request for redress were filed and was not granted.

Sunday, November 4:

Day 2 brought puffy conditions to Holland, MI. The race committee took pity on everyone and sailed inside the bay. Flat water was great and the wind was 10-20 knots from the SE. Six races were completed, no protests filed. Congrats to Christina Sakellaris of Stanford on winning the 2018 Singlehanded National Championships.

Thank you to our hosts, Grand Valley State University and Hope College Sailing Teams, MBYC and MBJA, to our sponsors Laser Performance and Marlow Ropes, to our RC lead by PRO Matt Bounds and all of our judges.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
