It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara with breeze shifting from the south to southwest at 7-10 knots. Flat water and nice temps made for some awesome racing. Thank to the UCSB Sailing Team, who ran a fantastic race course pulling off 12 races total (6 in each division) in the two division event. There were no protests. Thank you to the ICSA Rep, Jesse Andrews of Hawaii, and also to all of the UCSB Sailing Team. The UCSB Gauchos lead the way in the event after 6 races in each division.
Finally, the conference is sending positive thoughts to all those affected by the fires and hoping that firefighters find great success today in containment.
Another chamber of commerce day in Santa Barbara with wind shifting south to southwest at 6-10 knots. It was a pleasant surprise as conditions called for little to no wind. Another three races were completed in each division. Congratulations to the UCSB Gauchos on taking home 1st and 2nd place on the JV course! They were followed by UC Santa Cruz, Cal Maritime, and UC Berkeley to round out the top five. Thank you to the PCCSC coaches and UCSB Sailing Team for maintaining the course and a special thank you to the UCSB Sailing Team for some excellent PRO work!
The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
