It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara with breeze shifting from the south to southwest at 7-10 knots. Flat water and nice temps made for some awesome racing. PRO, Keenan Wolf, ran a fantastic race course pulling off 18 races total (6 in each division) in the three division event. There were two protests. One resulted in a DSQ and the other was disallowed. Thank you to the ICSA Rep, Jesse Andrews of Hawaii, and also to all of our coaches that helped move marks. The UCSB Gauchos lead the way in the event after 6 races in each division.
Finally, the conference is sending positive thoughts to all those affected by the fires and hoping that firefighters find great success today in containment.
Another chamber of commerce day in Santa Barbara with wind shifting south to southwest at 6-10 knots. It was a pleasant surprise as conditions called for little to no wind. Another five races were completed in each division with one protest resulting in a DSQ. Congratulations to the UCSB Gauchos on taking home the victory! Congrats to Stanford and the USC Women who finished 2nd and 3rd respectfully followed closely behind by the USC Coed team and Cal Maritime to round out the top five. Thank you to the PCCSC coaches and UCSB Sailing Team for maintaining the course and a special thank you to Keenan Wolf for some excellent PRO work!
The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
