Light winds from the ENE to SE at 3-7 knots made for tricky, slow sailing on the Charles River today. The Brown sailors are on top after Day 1 with Hobart, Bowdoin, Tufts, and MIT close enough behind to be within striking distance.
A Division sailed Fireflies today and B Division sailed in FJs. A nice forecast breeze from the SW tomorrow ought to make for efficient racing all day long. Special thanks to Mike Kalin, MIT varsity coach, on mark tweaking and finishes. David Morjon helped with scoring all day long.

The Brown Bears were extremely consistent with light and variable SW breeze which eventually clocked all the way into the NE today. Pat Shanahan and Julia Reynolds were second in A while teammates Ragna Agerup with Abigail Konys were also second in B Division for a combination which beat the runner ups from Hobart, William Smith College. Stanford's Jacob Rosenberg with Kathryn Booker took B Division honors while Bowdoin's Matt Kaplan with Louisa Lindgren came out on top of the very tough A Division.
Special thanks go to Adam Werblow who was our ICSA rep and Steve Kirkpatrick who assisted in hearing one protest.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
