Sailors arrived at Willow Bank Yacht Club to a breeze out of the North-West at a steady 5-7 knots. The first two sets went off smoothly but then the wind shifted dramatically further North. The Race Committee was proactive in adjusting the course to suit wind conditions and another three sets were sailed effectively ending the day strong with ten races sailed in each division. The land crew was efficient in making sure rotations happened smoothly. A huge thanks to Willow Bank Yacht Club as well as SU Sailing members for providing breakfast and lunch for the competitors.
Willow Bank Yacht welcomed sailors for a later report time at 1030am. Boats were immediately rigged and out on the water in a timely fashion. A bit of rain made the first set a bit chilly but eventually the sun started to come out and warm up the sailors. The wind was from the South at a steady 7-8 knots which allowed for beautiful sailing conditions as the day went on. Towards the end of the second rotation the wind shifted to the West and marks needed to be shifted to accommodate for this. Thank you to all the SU families and Alumni who came to help support this regatta and to the Willow Bank Yacht Club For being such a great host.
Congrats to Queens University for Winning this year’s Cazenovia Fall Open!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
