The day started out with fog over the lake, and a light breeze of 2-3 knots. As the day went on, the fog cleared off and the sun came out for the rest of the day. The wind filled in around 2:00 pm to a consistent 6 knots with gusts of 8 knots on the north end of the course. Racing continued until around 6:00 pm.
Sunday met sailors with fog and a light and patchy Easterly breeze. Despite the inconsistent breeze, the race committee got the Varsity fleet through one complete race. The race lasted about an hour and the patchy winds resulted in a very spread fleet around the course. Following the first race, sailors were sent to shore after an hour of no breeze. The Northwest colleges engaged the local high school teams in a forum about collegiate sailing and their respective sailing programs. After a final decision from the race committee, the regatta was called at 1:30pm due to the lack of breeze.
