NE, N, NW, S, SE, SW; you name it, we raced in it. The morning races of 3B and 2A were sailed in the Northerly breezes of 2-5 knots and the southerly 2B and 3A races were sailed in the Southerly breezes of 2-6 knots. The morning races were cut short due to the light, shifty and dying breeze. The sailors had a good long lunch break and hit the water again at 1:50pm. The afternoon races were started in a southeasterly with A Division starting first. The first attempt of race 4B race was abandoned at the gate because of lack of wind. As the wind shifted back and forth in the afternoon, a total of five races were completed in each division. One Redress was filed and denied. No protests were filed. Many thanks to Bern Noack'88 for serving as the regatta rep and to Conn College and Julie Wilson for bringing great coach boats so all the coaches could get on the water and to Caleb Dorfman for serving as the mark boat and protest chair with Chris Klevan assisting. Racing begin at 10:00am sharp tomorrow morning. Teams to park at YCYC Sunday are: Stanford, Charleston, Hobart, Georgetown, UPENN, Dartmouth, North Eastern, Vermont and Connecticut College. All others will park at RJ Shore
What a difference a day makes! 8 races in each division were sailed today in a oscillating southerly breeze of 8-15 knots. The higher afternoon breeze forecast of 15-25 knots never materialized. Races were 22 min long with a nice but difficult chop. All courses were W4's. No protests or breakdowns were filed. There were a bunch of general recalls due to one particular school pushing the line early which dragged the rest of the fleet with them. The same school was also called over early multiple times with the individual recall flag. Lunch breaks were kept to 30min to try and get as much racing is as possible since Saturday was not ideal. Many thanks to Bern Noack for serving as the ICSA rep and to Conn College and Julie Wilson for bringing coach boats so all the coaches could be on the water. A big Congrats to the US Coast Guard Academy for winning the 2017 Fall Yale Women's Regatta.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
