Seneca Lake dished out a little bit of everything for the 14 races sailed today at the 2017 War Memorial Regatta.
Racing started in a big southerly blow of 20-24 knots sustained with higher gusts. Three foot waves made for excellent surfing conditions and exciting runs.
Midday the breeze shifted to the South-Southwest and backed off to an ideal 10-14 knots under sunny skies. The wind continued to shift to the west and died later in the afternoon. Racing was called at 4:45pm.
Thanks to Doc Sullivan and Larry Sill for hearing protests. Ben Mohney and Patrick Kana did an excellent job running races with the help of the HWS sailors.
Four races in A and six races in B were sailed in flat water conditions with a 8-12 knot breeze from the north. Racing was extremely tight and exciting.
Congratulations to the teams moving forward to the ACC's.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
