The regatta started out with a light and wavering 3-7 kt northerly breeze. Four races in each division were completed in the trying conditions. One protest was heard, which was disallowed. Special thanks to RWU alum Bre Baldino (2016) and Jimmy Kennedy (2017) as well as undergrads Tyler Killion (2018) and Darcy Lavoie (2021) for running the event. Also special thanks to CGA coach Brian for hearing the protest.
Sunday began with much more favorable conditions as the wind settled from the same northerly direction with a consistent 8-12 kt breeze. The conditions allowed 5 more races to be sailed, rounding out the weekend for a 9 race regatta. Huge thanks again to all of the current and returning hawks for running the event, including Peter Forsberg (2019) who joined race committee efforts this afternoon. Congrats to Yale for winning the 2017 Mt. Hope Bay Invite.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
