A lovely sunset marked the beginning of the Annual Dark of Night Regatta hosted by Tufts University at the Jumbodome. Brisk evening temperatures of 48-degrees cooled off heated competition during the A Division racing. All three races were sailed in 3.0001 knots of wind, making boat handling and smooth maneuvers key elements in the race for the finish line. Congratulations to Lindsay Baab '18 and Grace Gagnon '18 from Brown University for taking the win in A Division with only 5 points.
B-Division fared much better with the wind conditions on Mystic Lake. Those sailors were blessed with 6 knots of an SSE "dam breeze" in what was declared "one of the best Dark of Night regattas ever!" The top three finishers in B Division battled it out until the very last race, where Sabina Van Mell '19 and Jackson McCoy '19 of Tufts University reigned supreme in the Larks to take home the title of B Division Champions.
The overall low point score goes to the sailors from Brown University. Their combined first place finish in A Division and third place in B Division earned them the title of Dominators of the Dark Night. Wellsley College made their season debut here at the Jumbodome, finishing 11th overall. We would like to thank the Tufts Jumbos for their help running the event, making the delicious chili, and cleaning up after racing. No protests, no breakdowns.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
