A nice 5-9 knot east wind with plenty of shifts to offer passing lanes was on tap on the rivah today. A random shower passed through and all the competitors enjoyed hearing about Toni Deutsch '58 who was the first woman to receive a varsity letter at MIT. Toni continues to make a huge impact on student life volunteering to assist with incoming freshman and the MIT alumni association.
Six races are scheduled tomorrow with an optional team racing scrimmage, too.

A breezy day on the Charles River with a squall that forced abandonment of races 10 A and B. Winds were WNW ranging from 5-15 knots with plenty of puffs and lulls and shifts.
Thank you to Dockmaster Wally Corwin and MIT undergrad Lisa Sukharev-Chuyan for helping with breakdowns and scoring.
Congratulations to the Brown Bears for winning this year's Toni Deutch '58 Trophy, honoring the first women's varsity letter winner in MIT Athletics history and one of the pioneers for women's collegiate sailing.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
