Salt Pond was calm at reporting time, but the fleet promptly towed to the race area and was greeted with a 3-6 kt.easterly breeze for the first set which got underway at 10:38. The best breeze happened early allowing only 3A and 2B Division races before the Pond returned to glass. BU lead at the end of the day with Brown 2nd and Bowdoin 3rd. PRO Skip Whyte was assisted on the water by Sarah Morin, Collin Benzoni,Delaney Bamford, and Chris Pearson with a host of other Rams managing the rotation boats, Gardiner Island amenities, the Camp Fuller Shuttle and towing to and from the race area.
What a difference a day makes! Bits of Hurricane Matthew moved into New England with steady rain, temps in the high 50s, and an increasing northerly breeze. 10 knots at reporting time was 15+ for 4A and it built from there. BU never faltered and went on to a win. Brown did falter, Bowdoin remained solid and Yale moved up to fill the 3rd podium position. With the isobars compressing and gusts in the upper 20s racing was called a touch early at 2:00 after 6B. Special thanks to Viktor Wettergren (T’15), Lydia Whiteford (B '15) for serving as judges for the event. There were no protests and no breakdowns. Conditions on the course were less than pleasant and many Rams deserve thanks for making the event go smoothly. Peter Gunn, Delaney Bamford, Chris Pearson, Kate Nota, and Marisa Decollibus all contributed on RC and Mark Set. Garrett Connelly, Alex Lach, Ian Martin, Lucas Dutton, and Ryan Walker handled Gardiner Island duties as well as the rotation boats with help from the off set Ram competitors. And final special thanks to Camp Fuller for allowing us to use their facility.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
