Sailors arrived at Morris Yacht & Beach Club to a cold and windy fall morning. Racing started at 10:00 AM off the point of City Island in a 12-15 knot northerly. After the first set in each division, the breeze shifted right and began piping down from long island sound at around 17-20. A mix of W4s and W3s were sailed to expedite the long upwind rotation. Racing continued until 5:00 P.M. and 8 races were sailed in each division despite a very spread out fleet.

Sailors were greeted to a much lighter 6-8 knot northerly to begin the day. Racing began at 9:45 off the point of City Island. W3s were again used for the second race of each set to expedite rotations. A shifting breeze ranging from 3-8 and significant current made for many course changes and difficult racing. Four races were sailed in each division and racing concluded just after 2:00 P.M. when the timing of rotations and deteriorating conditions made it unlikely to complete a final 1-1 set. Congratulations to the Tufts Jumbos for their close win over the home team.
