Saturday's racing started with a 12-15 knot Southerly breeze with lots of rain. The breeze calmed throughout the afternoon, becoming very shifty. 6 races per division were sailed; racing ended around 4 o'clock due to no breeze. Thank you to Jeff Sullivan (HWS '04) and the HWS teammates for running the event.
Sunday morning brought an 8-10 knot breeze from the North, building to 12-15 knots in the afternoon. Shifty conditions made for challenging races. 7 Races per division were sailed, all W-4's and W-3's. The series was completed by approximately 3pm. 4 Protests were filed, resulting in 2 DSQs, along with 1 Redress, which was not granted. Many thanks to the other coaches who heard protests, as well as the HWS teammates for running the races. Congratulations to the Hobart and William Smith Sailors for winning the 2016 David Lee Arnoff Regatta!
