Great day of sailing today at the Yale Women's albeit a bit shifty! The wind was WNW, W, NNW, N. Racing began with A Division in Z 420's and B Division in FJ's. The first 4 morning races were sailed just outside Branford Harbor to try and get as far away from shore to minimize shifts and have the windward mark in open. Each fleet took a lunch break after the first four races and returned to find the race course back inside short Beach Cove. Four more races were sailed in B Division and six more in A Division. All coaches were on the water. B Division will start first tomorrow with race 9B in Z420's. Three protest were filed resulting in one DSQ. One protest will be heard first thing tomorrow morning. Many thanks to Bill Ward, Janel Zarkowski, Mitch Hall and Brian Clancy for hearing protests. And Connecticut College supplied a coach boat and some spare parts. Thanks you!
Another shifty day at the Yale Women's today. Winds were WNW again raging in velocity from 5-18 knots. 8 B Division Z420 races and 6 A Division FJ races were completed today. During the on dock rotation in the morning a brief snow shower surprised the sailors. Courses all weekend were mostly W4's with the occasional W3 and W5. No protests were filed and the regatta was breakdown free. There were many penalty turns witnessed and at least two capsizes during the day. Congrats to the US Coast Guard Academy for winning another Fall regatta in dominating fashion. Again many thanks to Connecticut College for bringing a coach boat and other parts and pieces allowing all coaches to be on the water. Bill Ward and Matty Cohen served professionally on RC all weekend and were a huge help as was Yale alum Caleb Dorfman who helped as a mark boat deck hand.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
