The day was sunny and warm with light winds out of the southwest that completely died at points. The breeze built slightly during the afternoon. Chase boat rescued two fishermen whose small dinghy had flipped. Some issue with the rotations caused problems for one team who missed the rotation change on shore. All in all it was a beautiful day racing on Long Island Sound.
Sailors were greeted with a steady 10 knots out of the southeast with gusts to 16. Big shifts coming in off St. Mary's point. The air was chilly with the first breath of autumn. Another day of fun racing with Tufts winning first and second position to be awarded the new half hull Sacred Heart Invitational Trophy.
