Providence College Invitational was held in upper Narragansett Bay from the Rhode Island Yacht Club using twelve PC and four Brown FJs. 10-16 knots of wind from the west north west with mild temperatures allowed for perfect mid October racing. Because the windward marks were near the Rhode Island Yacht Club, the first race of each set was a W4 and the second race of each set was a W3, windward finish, to help expedite rotation between the two divisions.
Colder temperatures (high 40s to mid 50s) and brisk northerly winds greeted the 16 NEISA teams on Sunday morning. Shifty wind speeds between 8 and 20 kts at times caused some surprises for some of the sailors. With winds from the north the leeward starting marks was able to be set close to Rhode Island Yacht club in upper Narragansett Bay and W4 races were run for all races. Thank you to the Providence College Friar Sailing Club volunteers for race coordination, Brown sailing for use of four sailboats, and Brown and Johnson & Wales for use of their support boats.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
