The day started off strong with both divisions getting in two solid races in some 5-10 kt breeze. As the day progressed, the wind decreased to 0-5 kts. "A" division finished a third race but had to abandon a fourth. Racing was then postponed for the remainder of the day due to a very glassy Smith Cove.1
Following Saturday’s dying Northerly, an Easterly greeted sailors Sunday. With a windward mark right next to the rotation dock, races got underway pretty quickly. Winds were East 5-12 but shifting right gradually and eventually dying below 5. Nine more races were completed bringing the total to seven in both divisions.
With the PBO qualifying two teams for the Danmark, some very strong efforts are put forth by competing teams, and not just from those trying to qualify. In both divisions sailors from Vermont either started well or made amazing comebacks from over early to finish consistently well for what appeared to be an easy win. It wasn’t. Congrats also goes out to Northeastern for taking the second qualifying spot. Bowdoin won the last two A division races to move into second in A behind Dartmouth’s Nathaniel Johansson/Madeline Walker and U Conn finished a strong 4th behind B skipper Sarah Fuller, her fourth straight appearance in the PBO, with freshmen sister Julia Fuller crewing. B was won by Vermont’s Amina Brown/Haley McMahon.
A special thanks to the Maine Maritime team for manning Signal boat (Will Grimes), pin boat, mark boat and dock crew. Ken Legler (PRO)

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
