The Moody got underway in a beautiful northerly that was already fading. URI and Harvard traded 1,2 finishes in the first set. By the time B rotated in, the breeze was getting very spotty. One start was abandoned before 1B got underway in less than ideal conditions. The breeze came and went a few times, but the direction remained in a tolerable range. It was a slow race and after the finish there was no hope of starting another. B remained postponed on the water with a rest break built in for several hours. The plug was pulled just before 3:00 and the fleet was assembled in two tows for the return to the Upper Pond. Minutes later a beautiful southerly filled and the tows were turned around to allow 2B to be sailed.
Harvard sits on top with MIT second and URI third. Teams will report ½ hour earlier tomorrow to facilitate a maximum number of races in the forecast SW breeze.
Skip Whyte and Sophie Podlich ran the races with Karel Mailloux-Kuz kept very busy moving marks. Many other Rams assisted.
One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ.
Many thanks to Johanna Kincaid and Peter Bailey for serving as judges for the event.
Beautiful conditions all day. Racing began before 10:00 in a building WSW breeze. W4s all day and very tight racing. URI and Harvard swapped leads much of the day with Harvard extending in the end. Many places were traded in 7 A + B with Roger Williams and St. Mary's moving past URI for 2nd and 3rd. URI was 4th surviving a tie breaker with BU. The breeze gradually backed to S before abruptly shifting back to W for the final B race. Challenging. One breakdown, one capsize,2 RAFs. One protest was heard on Sunday resulting in a DSQ. Thanks to many Rams who made this event possible: Sophie Podlich, Conor O'Neill, Alex Lach, Ian Martin, and Karel Mailloux-Kuz were on-hand both days with Matt Wordell, Will and Garret Connelly on-hand Saturday.
Additional thanks to Peter Bailey,Johanna Kincaid and Mike O'Connor for handling the judging for the event.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
