Sailors arrived at 9 am to a beautiful day for sailing with 12 kts of wind from the north. The first race started at 9:45 with a steady wind. The wind held out for the first two rotations but became lighter and shifty as the day progressed. We had a few abandonments then waited for the wind to fill. We completed the third rotation and A fleet came out for the fourth rotation at 2pm and the wind completely died out. At 3:30 it became apparent that we would not be able to complete any more races and called the day. Army 2’s A fleet skipper injured his foot during race three preventing them from being able to compete in the rest of the regatta.
Sailors arrived at 10 am to <3 kts of wind. At 11 am the wind began to fill in we sent boats out and the first race began at 11:30. The wind was light at 5 kts and a little shifty for the first rotation, the wind continued to fill in to 6 kts for the rest of the day. We completed two and a half more rotations for a total of five and a half rotations concluding sailing at 3 pm. The races were very competitive with three teams neck and neck for third place.
Congratulations Steven’s on winning first! We would like to thank NERYC and the University of Delaware sailors for all their help in making the event a success.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
