Saturday began with light NNW breeze that would continue to diminish throughout the day. Light air combined with a strong cross current at the entrance to Castine Harbor made for some challenging condition. While the Pen Bay Open was forced to abandon racing for the day due to lack of wind, the teams outside were able to finish 4 races. At the end of the first day Tufts and Salve Regina were tied at 11 points and the rest of the fleet spanned out between 19 and 25 points.
Sunday began in fog and drizzle, with a shifty east-northeast breeze that built only slightly during the day. Tufts maintained its consistent, top-of-the-fleet sailing while the Salve team fell to the bottom of the fleet finishing 5th, and, with two first place finishes, the University of Rhode Island Rams pushed into second overall.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
