Sailors arrived at the Michigan Sailing Club at 9 am to a 15-20 knot easterly and a windchill of 35-40 degrees. As a result, racing was postponed until the breeze died off and the temperature rose. Racing started at noon and 2 races in each division were completed before the breeze built and racing was abandoned for the day. At the end of day 1, Michigan i son top with 4 points, Ohio University in 2nd with 9 points, and Michigan State in 3rd with 17 points. Racing to resume at 9:30 tomorrow morning.
After a 9 AM skippers meeting, racing began promptly at 930 in 5 to 10 knots of breeze. We completed the round robin by 2 PM with the exception of the last race of the last rotation. Michigan finished in first, with Ohio University in second, and MSU in third.
