Gorgeous conditions greeted the sailors from 14 New England Colleges and Universities to spar with each other over the course of 10 races. A started in FJs through race 8 while B sailed Fireflies in 12-18 knot NE-SE breezes. Sailors enjoyed very long courses on both inner and outer trapezoid courses. Jeff Dusek heard one protest while Jeff Bresnahan and Frank Pizzo heard another. Iris Xu along with Sophie Goemans and David Alfonso helped the RC with scoring throughout the day.
This regatta honors a distinguished alumna from the Class of '58 who sailed all four years on the varsity team and was awarded the first varsity athletic letter given to a woman at MIT. Toni continues to volunteer much time and energy in support of the Institute as well as MIT Athletics.

A brisk NW breeze of almost 15 knots brought clear blue skies and abundant sunshine. Four races were completed as the pressure began to fade and the shifts became 'classic' Charles Rivah. That might better be described as random and bizarro. The Coast Guard team overcame the Engineers from host MIT in the last set to capture the 2014 Toni Deutsch Trophy.
Many thanks to volunteers Iris Xu, David Alfonso, Maggie Craig and Yuna who helped with the finish boat and RC duty.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
