Princeton Women's Regatta

Summary

Saturday, September 27:

At the start of the day the wind was a steady 8 knots. It was a sunny, beautiful day with temperatures in the low 80s. In the early afternoon the wind began to die. After a short postponement the wind filled in in the opposite direction enough to keep racing although it was slow (about 5 knots). With such a small fleet both boats were able to find clean air and get off good starts. Even though the fleet was small, all of the boats were aggressive both on starts and on the water. Teams were competitive and took advantage of opportunities to cover other boats on both the downwind and upwind leg. We finished the regatta up with one full set per fleet - a total of 8 races per division. The team then invited all participating teams to a BBQ back at our campus boathouse.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
