The wind forecast going into Saturday showed big breeze steady at 22 knots with gusts up to 46 mph. The forecast delivered, leading to high wind and choppy conditions out of the south that led to race committee postponing racing after two races in A fleet at approximately noon. After the wind died down to approximately 10 knots, the fleet voted to continue racing until the next heavy squall rolled through, leading to one race in B fleet before racing was called for the day at approximately 2pm. A couple of boats stayed on the water after most of the fleet had derigged, staying within view of shore and with a crash boat available in case of emergency. One redress was awarded for assisting a sailor who had been separated from his boat.
Racing continued Sunday with one race in B fleet to round out the rotation from Saturday, and continued on with 3 more races in each fleet. The breeze was light, offering a stark contrast to Saturday, coming out of the south and clocking to the east as the day progressed.
