Sunday, October 5:

Long Island Sound delivered once again for the final day of the 2014 New England Women's Singlehanded Championship. One race was sailed in a light to medium northwesterly with significant shifts before the prevailing westerly finally took over. The final four races were absolute ideal Laser conditions: 13-16 knots and 4-6 foot waves.

Thank you to the Connecticut College Camels for helping us run the event with logistical and race committee support and to Mitchell College for allowing us to use their parking lot and beach. Thank you as well to John Moulthrop for judging on the water both days. Although a few hails were heard on the water, no protests were filed. Max Caballero, CGA '13, came back to help run races along with Alex Paggi '18 and Daria McKenna '18.

A special thanks to Colie Sails who provided prizes for the top six finishers who will move on to the 2014 College Sailing Women's Singlehanded Championship in November. Congratulations to Robin Lesh from MIT, Liz Dubovik from Connecticut College, Kelly McGlynn from Brown, Lindsay Baab from Brown, and Dana Rohde from Coast Guard for advancing to Nationals. Now three time champion, Erika Reineke from Boston College, put on another impressive performance, posting only fourteen points in twelve races.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
