Race 1 started promptly at 0945 in a NNW breeze ranging 8-11 knots. We sailed 2 sets each then had a lunch break. After lunch we completed 10 races in total. Halfway through the afternoon the wind started to pick up in velocity and shift W/SW. Courses were W-4's with an offset and gate.
Three protests were filed, two resulting in a DSQ, the otehr disallowed. Thank you to Brian Clancy, Dan Thompson, Bill Siener, and Anne Mooney for helping with the protests.
The KP Midshipmen did a great job setting courses.
Race 11A will start at 0930 tomorrow. The forecast is for big breeze and should be a fun day!
Race 11A started at 0945 in 13-20 knots from the West North West. During the first run for B division stronger pressure filled in with gusts over 25knots. This caused some capsizes in both divisions. We started race 12 for both but it was clear the wind wasn't letting up any. After finishing race 12 we sent the sailors in to rotate. With multiple teams capsizing and one hurt wrist we decided to call it a day for the 2014 KPDO at 1115.
1 BKD was filed and disallowed for a missing ring ding. Thanks to Charles Higgins for helping hear that.
Congrats to SMC on winning the KPDO with a 67pt. lead.
Thanks to the KP Midshipmen for helping run the event.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
