Hoyt Trophy

Summary

Saturday, October 25:

Saturday had west winds ranging from 4-10 knots with some big shifts either way and beautiful weather. This was the first regatta held at Brown and the Edgewood Yacht Club in the new Z420s. All courses were W3, W4, or W5's.

A huge thanks to Boston College Coach Alden Reid for being the ICSA Rep and to Bill Morris for judging along with Navy Coach Ian Burman. Only one protest was filed resulting in a DSQ for Boston College in race 1B. Boat #10 was pulled from the rotation after discovering a large hole in the bottom that was sustained from the noreaster we had on Wednesday. As a result, all teams sailing boat #10 on Saturday received redress and byes once the damage was discovered. We cannot thank Roger Williams University and Coach Amanda Callahan for bringing one of their new Z420s for Sunday's racing to take the place of boat #10.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
