8 teams arrived at the Michigan Sailing Club in lovely Dexter, MI to a brisk fall morning. Racing started at 10:00 with around 12 knots of breeze from the west. The westerly breeze caused the top 25% of the course to be incredibly shifty which lead to a great deal of position changes at the top mark. 8 A division races and 6 B division races were completed with Michigan leading overall and in B division, and Purdue leading A division.
Sailors again arrived at 9am to another chilly, breezy morning at Base Line Lake. While B division was firmly in Michigan's control, A division was still up for grabs and with the regatta ending at 1pm because of a Michigan Sailing Club regatta there wasn't much time for racing. After the race 9A, Purdue had a 2 point lead on Michigan. In race 10A Purdue suffered an unfortunate capsize due to a cleated jib sheet giving Michigan the lead in A division. A huge thank you to Paul Townsend and the rest of the Michigan Sailing Club members who helped out this weekend and to the U of Michigan team members who ran the event.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
