The Virginia Open began at about 11 AM on October 19th due to low wind conditions. Despite overcast weather and light showers, visibility of the course was unaffected and provided for great spectating. Once the wind filled in and the races began, a steady light breeze continued throughout each race. JT Lendon, Racing Secretary Caitlin Grumbling, and other Virginia Sailing staff ensured that all races went smoothly. Each rotation consisted of one Windward-Leeward course followed by a Windward-Leeward-Windward course to allow for easier rotations. The day ended with NC State leading the pack with UVA sailors following close behind.
Day Two of the Virginia Open consisted of warmer weather and shifty yet consistent breeze. Racing began around 10:30 AM and continued until 2:30 PM. Three rotations were finished which brought the total race count for the regatta to 10 per fleet. The same Windward-Leeward and Windward-Leeward-Windward courses were ran on Sunday as they were Saturday by the Race Committee.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
