Lucky day of wind. NNE 5-12 straight down the lake for ten races, then ESE sea-breeze for four more in same velocity. Occasional full hiking for 8 A and 6 B races. Many boats in B division were over early including 16 of the 18 boats one race.
Today, not so lucky with the wind. Nearly calm morning was replaced with a wacky Easterly (shifting back and forth from NE to SE with occasional other wind direction for two not-so-hot B division races. Sea-breeze returned at 2 pm for a decent one and one set. A couple races were abandoned; one on the third leg and one right at the start.
Overall it was a beautiful weekend weather wise with lots of wildlife present on the tree surrounded lake only a few miles from downtown Boston.
A couple protests, no DSQs. One was the result of a squeeze play at a gate. One RAF showing good sportsmanship by Roger Williams. Right after crossing the finish first the RW sailors were informed by two others of a gentle mast head contact during the first mark rounding so the RW skipper retired.
Many thanks to our judges Art and Jen Rousmaniere, and Jeff and Lianne Dusek. Also thanks to the Medford Boat Club, Tufts alum Reid van Gorder and many Tufts sailors giving up a weekend of sailing to help manage this inter-conference major. Also thanks to Navy, Washington College, and Eckerd for making the trek to compete on a very humbling Mystic Lake.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
