Light breeze in the morning from the west built up and shifted throughout the day to a solid northernly. Lots of quick races were run to maximize rotations while a wedding was taking place at Mission Bay Yacht Club. 16 Races were sailed, and aside from a few capsizes from the new guys, it was an awesome and beautiful (I'll be it hot) day in San Diego.
Especially calm conditions in the morning meant racing was postponed until the breeze was brought up and stable enough to get off a few races. 8 Races were sailed before the day was over. All in all a great weekend for the new college sailors and an exceptional taste of what college sailing is all about.
The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
