SAISA Men's Singlehanded

Summary

Saturday, September 22:

Racing was postponed until the sea breeze started to show signs of life. The sailors had a 1:00 harbor start and the first race of the day began at 1:45. All races were sailed in Charleston Harbor on Crab Bank in a building 8- 12 knot southerly. All courses were W4's with offsets and gate. Two protested were filled resulting in one DSQ and three redresses for breakdown were granted. Four more races are scheduled for tomorrow to compete the 12 boat rotation.

Sunday, September 23:

Four races were sailed today to complete the 12 boat rotation. The wind was from the NNE at 3-5 knots. We sailed the same course in the same area and had a strong flood tide pushing right to left across the race course. We had no breakdowns or protests. Congratulations to Ian Heausler '13 Florida, Chris Stocke '15 South Florida, and Juan Maegli '13 Charleston for qualifying for the ICSA Men's Single-handed Nationals.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
